Annually Breeding 200 plus Horned Hereford Females30 years experience breeding HerefordsWe spent the last thirty years trying to breed cattle that will work in our environment. Our data and our eyes tell us these cows have to be thick, very moderate frames, slick haired, with lots of heart girth. These are the type females that are easy keeping with a genetic ability to put on backfat off grass. These are the same traits we need in our steers in order to market them at an early age. When maximum profit per acre is the goal, efficiency is the name of the game. Let's continue to work towards fertility, longevity, efficiency, environmental adaptability, udders, mothering ability, as well as many other traits. We collect as much data and do as much research as possible. But let's never forget the most important tools that God gave – our eyes and some cowboy common sense. Call or come by anytime. We love to talk about and look at cows. Goldstock Hereford Farms |
